WASTEWATER FACILITIES PLANNING AND DESIGN
Revere, Massachusetts
Hayden-Wegman completed the rehabilitation of an 85-mile sewerage system for the City of Revere under the original EPA and DEP guidelines. The program included Steps 1 and 2 Facilities Plan and Design, and Step 3 construction management and one year performance certification. This project, one of very few to be completed in Massachusetts, had a total of $5,000,000; $4,000,000 of which was paid for by federal and state grants. The performance certification indicated that nearly 9.2 million gallons per day of I/I were removed from the system. Step 1 Facilities Plan included an Infiltration/Inflow study of the 85-mile sewerage system, and a Sewer Evaluation Survey. Step 2 Facilities Design was for the citywide sewer rehabilitation.
In addition to an Infiltration/Inflow analysis and Sewer System Evaluation Survey, we provided complete design for upgrading the Point of Pines pump station.
