ROUTE 127/127A ROADWAY RECONSTRCUTION

C&C staff designed streetscape improvements to Route 127 and Route 127A, the two largest thoroughfares in the Town of Rockport. Our design of Route 127 has already been constructed, while the reconstruction of Route 127A was completed in the Fall of 2000.
Route 127 and Route 127A, 3.7 miles and 4.3 miles, respectively, were similar in scope. Both included the development of plans and specifications for streetscape improvements to heavily traveled downtown roadways. Design elements included pavement reclamation and overlay, pavement markings, sidewalk reconstruction, drainage improvements, water main design, utilities, parking improvements, and landscaping enhancements.
